Ann Gillespie works in pastels, printmaking, and painting (gouache, oils, acrylics). She is passionate about landscape painting, especially "en plein air". Her artwork is informed by time spent in nature and is an expression of what she sees and what she feels, ultimately from observation and memory. She has taught pastels at Fivesparks (Harvard) since 2017 and facilitates summer plein air groups there.
